This exciting opportunity of SGA Internal Relief GPR at Dundee will include provision of a high standard of customer service to the travelling customers. Train dispatch, ensuring services depart at the scheduled time. Provision of information to customers when required.  

What you bring

  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach.  
  • Can remain calm and professional under pressure.  
  • Is punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming station environment  
  • Customer Service SVQ (Scottish Vocational Qualification) would be advantageous
  • Understanding of railway geography (desirable)
  • Ability to remain calm and handle customer interactions during service disruptions
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full training will be provided 

Further information:

Various turns of duty.  Station Grade Area and Internal GPR and RDR posts will have a contractual commitment to work, when required by the company, up to a maximum of 13 Sunday turns per calendar.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a competency-based interview.  Successful candidates will be required to sit safety critical assessment and medical.  For new entrants to ScotRail all offers of employment are subject to passing our pre-employment checks which include a criminal record check, medical and 3 years occupational history check.
