Salary Range: £50,786 – £65,000 per annum

What is the purpose of this job?

• Lead and ensure delivery on all aspects relating to policing and security within RDG and to engage with members of the industry, DfT, BTP and BTPA and other external stakeholders.

• Successfully deliver the Policing & Security Strategy / Programme and its Implementation Plans supported by project/programme management framework.

• Advise of transition arrangements for policing and security within GBR.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a proven track record on the management of policing & security/emergency planning and the delivery of programmes/projects across multiple stakeholders both internal and external. It is desirable to have relevant industry experience. Some of the sort of specific skills and knowledge we are looking for include:

  • Policing & security and emergency management understanding in a rail context, or comparable industry.
  • Projects and programmes management and associated methodology.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience in producing high-quality change management tools and delivering these successfully.
  • Ability to work with, and influence, appropriate stakeholders to ensure commitment and alignment.
  • Dynamic, leader and team player who is also a self-starter.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and complex stakeholder group, over varying roles and functions.
  • Great at articulating the value of change and associated plans and activities.
  • Effective at partnering with others to plan, develop and deliver effective change interventions.
  • Understand both the physiological and psychological impacts of change on wellbeing and resilience, and techniques to respond.
