Team Organiser – Join a High-Performing Network Delivery Team

Are you an organised, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a Team Organiser to play a vital role in keeping our team running smoothly and efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity to become the backbone of a busy operational team, supporting day-to-day activities, enabling collaboration, and ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of the team, you’ll:

  • Keep things moving: Manage diaries, coordinate schedules, handle incoming mail, and maintain accurate personnel and asset records.
  • Support the team on the go: Arrange travel, accommodation, and transport, while also managing PPE supplies and stock levels.
  • Bring meetings to life: Organise meetings end-to-end, prepare and distribute materials, take clear minutes, and ensure actions are followed through.
  • Be the first point of contact: Deliver a professional and friendly telephone presence, ensuring excellent customer service and seamless communication.
  • Stay organised: Maintain efficient and compliant filing systems, including key statutory and operational records.
  • Support procurement: Use financial systems to order supplies and consumables, acting as Local Purchasing Agent where required.
  • Solve problems quickly: Monitor IT and facilities issues, ensuring they are reported and resolved without delay.
  • Go the extra mile: Provide administrative support across the team, including research tasks and information gathering.
  • Live our values: Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A natural multi-tasker who can manage competing priorities
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident user of IT systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Experience working effectively within a team environment

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Knowledge of the rail industry and railway geography
  • Qualifications in administration, office management, or keyboard skills
  • Experience in records management systems
