Contract – Permanent

Not your average role….

You will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and upkeep of stations within the Yoker area.
  • Ordering and issuing stores.
  • Carrying out station equipment checks, evaluation checks and report and recording of defects.

What you bring

  • Good working knowledge of COSHH and general cleaning standards/general safety.
  • Certified or competent in the use of power tool equipment (although training will be given).
  • Knowledge of specified cleaning and general maintenance.
  • Must be able to drive.
  • Team player who can demonstrate individual initiative.
  • Conscientious.
  • Ability to work safely and who is committed to providing the highest standard of customer service.

Salary

Salary: £35,320 per annum.

Hours of Work

Contracted hours: 35 per week.

Winter (November – March / 05.00 – 12.00) and Summer (April to October / 07.30 – 14.30) rosters are worked.  This post works Monday – Friday, shift working including Saturday/Sunday working if required

Selection Process

Selection process: Candidates short-listed will be invited to complete on-line assessment.  Following assessment successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview.  For new entrants to ScotRail all offers of employment are subject to passing our pre-employment checks which include a criminal record check, medical and 3 years occupational history check. Training initially involves a 2-day virtual induction Training Programme. 

Medical Fitness:  Due to the nature of the post and rail industry safety requirements there are certain medical & fitness standards that you would require to meet.
