About the Role
This role is responsible for delivering technical work safely, efficiently, and in line with approved procedures, standards, and company policies. You will manage the preparation, quality, and compliance of work activities, including producing specifications, method statements, and work plans.
The position involves designing, installing, testing, and commissioning equipment, as well as carrying out and supervising inspections, surveys, investigations, and technical analysis to ensure assets meet required performance and safety standards. You will provide technical guidance and support to the team, prioritising and coordinating workloads while managing resources, materials, and calibrated equipment.
The role also includes maintaining accurate technical records and systems, supporting continuous improvement, and contributing to both personal development and the development of others within the team, ensuring skills and knowledge are maintained to a high standard.
Salary: £42,000 DOE
Grade: Maintenance

Experience and Skills
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge of technical support activities and techniques.
- Knowledge and experience of electrification and plant maintenance and construction management process, systems and standards.
- Knowledge of design requirements, processes and techniques.
- Able to demonstrate, promote and embed safe working behaviours within the team.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Able to coach, influence and develop others.
- Hold and retain the competencies relevant to this post and required by business need.
- Ideally hold or be working towards an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/leadership subject.
- Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need.
- Candidates must have experience working with Overhead Line Systems.
- Candidates must hold a valid Sentinel card with PTS competency.
Desirable Criteria:
- Controller of Site Safety (COSS)
- Authorised Person
- SAI25
- Ellipse trained
