Network Rail
About Us
Our regional property team is a vital part of the North West & Central function. We serve the busiest mixed-use railway in Europe and create opportunities for economic growth for our communities and customers. With strategic land holdings in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Liverpool, and major rail investment initiatives underway, we support exciting rail-based transformations across the country.
Across Property, we create exceptional places at our destination stations, provide workplaces for our colleagues, and generate income from Network Rail assets to drive investment and growth in the railway. Our team generates significant income annually and seeks business efficiencies, with benefits reinvested back into the railway. Our commercial plan underpins our exciting growth and development plans, all focused on delivering benefit for our customers and passengers by creating great places and generating sustainable income to support rail investment and maintenance.
We aim to deliver non-operational property initiatives that improve customer experiences, create vibrant station environments, and provide a high level of service. Collaboration is key, and we are developing long-term relationships across the rail industry, both internally and with external stakeholders. Our vision is to care for and invest in the Regions’ non-operational property assets to generate lasting benefit for all passengers and communities. We play an important role in helping to tackle climate change and supporting sustainability drivers in our mission to achieve Net Zero. We have made significant strides in delivering improved social value metrics, enhancing our community and active travel processes. This increases the visibility of the positive impact our railways have.
Your unique perspective and experience could be exactly what we need to keep Britain moving safely and sustainably. We are committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and are a Disability Confident Leader employer. We will adapt our processes and offer reasonable alternatives to support people with disabilities.
