Job Description
Within the Information Systems Department, the IS Operations Domain Architect plays a key role in defining and evolving the architecture of information systems dedicated to operations. Reporting to the Operations Systems Director, you are the architecture reference for the Operations domain. You contribute to defining technical strategy, building product roadmaps, and implementing robust, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture. In close collaboration with business teams, product owners, developers, and external partners, you will:
- Define the technical strategy and roadmap for the Operations SI.
- Design solution architectures that meet business requirements and enterprise standards.
- Lead the implementation of the technical roadmap and provide architectural leadership to the teams.
- Contribute to the industrialization of the Operations SI (deployments, testing, quality standards, KPIs).
- Ensure the consistency, quality, and documentation of deployed solutions.
You will work in a transversal environment, with functional management and coordination of consultants, at the heart of the performance and reliability challenges of operations.

Binnen de Directie Informatiesystemen speelt de IS Operations Domain Architect een sleutelrol in de definitie en evolutie van de IT-architectuur die de operationele activiteiten ondersteunt. Rapporterend aan de Operations Systems Director bent u de referentie op het vlak van architectuur binnen het Operations-domein. U draagt bij aan de bepaling van de technische strategie, de opbouw van productroadmaps en de implementatie van robuuste, schaalbare oplossingen die in lijn zijn met de enterprise-architectuur. In nauwe samenwerking met business teams, product owners, ontwikkelaars en externe partners:
- Bepaalt u de technische strategie en roadmap voor het Operations IT-domein.
- Ontwerpt u oplossingsarchitecturen die voldoen aan de businessvereisten en de bedrijfsstandaarden.
- Stuurt u de implementatie van de technische roadmap en biedt u architecturaal leiderschap aan de teams.
- Draagt u bij aan de industrialisatie van het Operations IT-landschap (productie, testing, kwaliteitsstandaarden, KPI’s).
- Waarborgt u de coherentie, kwaliteit en documentatie van de geïmplementeerde oplossingen.
U werkt in een transversale omgeving, met functionele aansturing en de coördinatie van consultants, en bevindt zich in het hart van de uitdagingen rond performantie en betrouwbaarheid van de operationele activiteiten.
Requirements
Training & Experience
- Master’s degree
- Proven experience in information systems design and development
- Proficiency in the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Ability to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions
Technical Skills
- Very good knowledge of modern application architectures: web frameworks, databases, REST APIs, JSON, XML
- Proficiency in modern development technologies (e.g., Angular, NodeJS, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Solid expertise in cloud environments (Kubernetes, Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge of architecture standards and tools (TOGAF, Archimate)
Personal Skills
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written)

Opleiding & Ervaring
- Masterdiploma
- Aantoonbare ervaring in het ontwerpen en ontwikkelen van informatiesystemen
- Goede kennis van de volledige software development lifecycle en Agile-methodologieën
- Vermogen om businessbehoeften te begrijpen en te vertalen naar technische oplossingen
Technische Vaardigheden
- Zeer goede kennis van moderne applicatiearchitecturen: webframeworks, databases, REST API’s, JSON, XML
- Beheersing van moderne ontwikkeltechnologieën (bijv. Angular, NodeJS, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript)
