Brief Description
In the Highways Interface Clerk role, you will support the provision and assist in the management of highway interface activities. Contracted hours are 35 per week. There is a rotational requirement to start work at 08:00 and a rotational requirement to finish at 16:30. There is also a rotational requirement to work weekends and Bank Holidays. All worked hours over 35 will be paid as overtime, as will weekends and Bank Holidays.
About the Role
Key Accountabilities
- Support the management of highway interface formal notifications.
- Deliver the population, validation and dissemination of data required for management of highway interface works affecting, or being delivered by, Network Rail.
- Collate, and prepare the submission of pre-notification information to assist highway authorities in the effective coordination of street works activities.
- Assist with delivery of awareness briefings and training on the legislative requirements and Network Rail’s processes for the management of highway interface activities.
Essential Criteria
- Good standard of education
- Good standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Significant information technology skills including data population, analysis and presentation
Desirable Criteria
- Significant knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works legislation and associated codes of practice
- Significant experience in street works management in an appropriate environment
- Awareness of railway infrastructure and its functionality
