ERTMS Data Specialist
Exciting opportunity to recruit an ERTMS Data Specialist based at Kings Cross.
About the role
This role’s focus is on analysing ERTMS data from onboard Juridical Recording Units (JRU) gathered from technical or operation issues and working to understand what happened with stakeholders from across GTR and the wider railway system.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Strong communication skills. Communication will be required between engineers from a variety of disciplines, drivers, signallers and a variety of subject matter experts.
- Railway experience and understanding. You will have the understanding to consider the railway as the system of interest and conduct holistic industry benefits focused problem solving.
- Solid grounding in the railway as a system, ideally including:
- Sub-systems and the interfaces between sub-systems and the technical issues associated with each (e.g. track systems, signalling systems, Rolling stock etc.).
- Railway Operations
- Maintenance
- Understanding of the railway organisation structure, including organisational interfaces and commercial arrangements.
- Experience of working within the railway industry.
- An analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- The ability to write clear explanatory reports and documentation.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern including at night.
