We currently have an exciting Deputy Team Leader opportunity available at our Eastcroft Depot.

The Deputy Team Leader will be part of the maintenance team working towards set production targets to ensure trains meet ever exacting and challenging standards and are delivered to customers on time. In addition to their substantive role as a team member, the Deputy Team Leader will lead the team at times when the Team Leader is engaged in other business.
Deputy Team Leader Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, repair and overhaul traction and rolling stock components and complete plant equipment inspection
- Ensure that both individual and team production targets are met
- Deputise for the Team Leader as and when needed
- Carry out all work to agreed standards and that all work undertaken is recorded and signed off on the prescribed documentation
- Support and give guidance to all members of the team
- Perform fault finding on rolling stock
- Report and make recommendations regarding staff levels and working arrangements
- Formulate staff rotas on a weekly basis and authorise change if required
Qualifications and Experience
You will have practical experience of mechanical and electrical engineering within a busy and quality focused environment. You will be apprentice trained or hold equivalent qualifications and ideally bring knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Some experience of leadership would be highly beneficial. It is desirable to have knowledge or experience of railway industry recognised standards.
